NootThe Vasco DP875 can not be connected to an Android device at this time!





Connect the Vasco DP875 bluethooth cardreader


Enable BlueTooth in iOS





Connect the Vasco DP875 card reader to the MyContracts App



  1. Open the MyContract App
  2. Login
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Click on the Vasco DIGIPASS 875 for eID button




Follow the instructions to pair the card reader.



A message appears that the card reader is connected.




You can retrieve the card reader status by clicking the Vasco DIGIPASS 875 for eID button again:



Your device name and identifier is displayed.


Make sure you find the device name in your iOS Bluetooth Settings:




You are now ready to use the Vasco DP875 card reader with the MyContracts App.



Use of the Vasco DP875 bluethooth card reader with the MyContracts App


IMPORTANT: You must insert the eId card in the card reader only when the MyContracts App requests it!


This happens with the following popup:





CAUTION: If you insert the card into Reader after you have already clicked on the "Initialize the eID Card" button, the MyContracts App may no longer respond.Please close the MyContracts App and restart! 





DEconnect the Vasco DP875 bluethooth cardreader 


CAUTION: This can be a mess if you do not perform the operations in the correct order!


We assume that the card reader is correctly connected to the MyContracts App.


Do as follows:


  1. Open the MyContract App
  2. Login
  3. Go to Settings




Click on the Vasco DIGIPASS 875 for eID button




Disconnect the card reader by clicking the Unpair button.



A message appears that the card reader is disconnected, but  following needs  TO BE CARRIED OUT ABSOLUTELY!


After the card reader is disconnected, proceed as follows:


  1. Remove the card reader from the iOS Bluetooth settings







2. Let the cardreader forget the Bluetooth connection by removing the connection  using the cardreader menu as follows:


  1. Press the start button on the reader.
  2. Press 'C' to disconnect the connection via BlueTooth (the menu appears)
  3. Choose 2.Bluetooth
  4. Choose 2.Delete host
  5. Choose the number of the corresponding iOS device
  6. Press OK to confirm

Replace the batteries


If the VASCO DP 875 card reader indicates that the batteries are low, replace them as soon as possible.

Failure to do so may cause connection errors to your device during a  session, causing the MyContracts App to generate error messages.

Replacing the batteries is at the back of the device as you can see in the picture below:



Problem solving


If you receive the following error message when pairing


  • ERROR: No readers scanned
  • ERROR: No card detected.
  • ERROR: No reader has been retrieved. Insert a card in a paired reader in order to retrieve it.



it is possible the reader has lost its paring status with youe iOS device (iPhone, iPad).


You can check this ( using the menu of the reader) as follows:


==> We assume the reader is off, no card in te reader.

  1. Press the start button on the reader.
  2. Press 'C' to disconnect the connection via BlueTooth (the menu appears)
  3. Choose 2.Bluetooth
  4. Choose 2.Delete host


If you only  see option 0 Delete all and no menu-item 1 the reader has indeed lost its paring status with your device (iPhone, iPad).


Do as follows:


1. Follow the deconnect procedure (as described above).

2. Remove all cards from the card reader.

3. Close the MyContracts App (double-click the home button and swipe the MyContracts App window upwards).

5 Open the MyContracts App and try again to connect (as described above).
